The year has almost come to an end but leading tech companies still have a lot of offer. Apple, Microsoft and Xiaomi have introduced incredible innovations making their existing products easier to use, while offering the best in modern technology to users.

Let’s find out what’s new in the tech space this month:

2016 has so far been a year of great new innovations for Apple from iPhone 7, Apple Watch Series 2 and now the new MacBook Pro. Apple’s flagship MacBook Pro 2016 has been revamped and the most prominent change is in its design. The new MacBook is much thinner (the 13 inch model is 17% thinner, while the 15 inch is 14% thinner) than its predecessors and is now available in space grey and silver. The keyboard has the second generation of butterfly hinges with force touch track pad which has also vastly improved and is much bigger in size.

One of the most distinct changes is the addition of a retina touch bar at the top of the keyboard. It replicates the function key features on the touch bar to begin with and can be customized. It also changes as per the software being used.

Microsoft Surface Studio – Surface Dial

If you want to get an all-in-one PC, check out Microsoft’s all new Surface Studio. The 28 inch PC now has Microsoft PixelSense display and the monitor is just 12.5 mm at its thickest point making it the thinnest desktop monitor in the world. Unlike other all-in-one’s , the internal hardware is not within the monitor but in the zero-gravity hinges that support and move the monitor.  In terms of specs the PC is packed with quad-core Intel Core i7-6820HQ processor at 2.7GHz, Nvidia’s GTX 980M graphics chip with 4GB of memory, and as much as 32GB of RAM and a hybrid hard drive as large as 2TB and 128GB SSD.

What makes the Surface Studio different is the addition of a brand new accessory known as the Surface Dial. It is connected Via Bluetooth and is used for several apps such as Paint3D where users can draw and simultaneously change colour, thickness or any other changes without the need to stop drawing. This is a dream machine for anyone who wants to get more creative.

The smartphones in today’s market are powerful but all of them look similar to each other. Xiaomi had been working on a concept design known as Mi MIX which is now going to be available for purchase. It’s like no other phone out there. It has zero or no bezel and looks like a curved edge-less phone. The screen is a whopping 6.4-inch 1080p display which covers about 91.3% of the body. It’s not just the display that is appealing but also its specs. It rocks a Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 under that sleek exterior, which is the fastest processor (same as the one Google Pixel uses) and 6 GB of RAM and 256 GB of internal storage.
